Heery Center for Young Families

The Heery Center provides trauma-informed Residential Services for pregnant and parenting adolescents between the ages of 12 and 21, who have been placed in the care and custody of their county as a result of parental abuse/neglect, PINS/JD behaviors, or other circumstances that have placed them and their children at risk of harm. The goal of this program is to provide a wide range of services to promote safety, education, and stability.
Services Include:
- Independent Living Skills education (on both an individual and group level)
- Parenting Education and Support
- Educational Coordination and Tutoring
- Medical Care Coordination and Support
- Clinical Counseling to Include Youth, Putative Fathers and/or Primary Resource Person
- Expressive Arts Therapy
- Recreational Therapy
- Child Care to Enable Youth to go to School, Work and/or Participate in all Activities Associated with the Program
- Job Opportunities and/or Assistance with Obtaining Employment
- Full Range of Assessment and Referral Services
- Permanency Planning
- Advocacy
- Case Management
- Mentoring
- Comprehensive Discharge Planning & 90 Days of Aftercare Services
