Heery Center for Young Families

The Heery Center provides trauma-informed Residential Services for pregnant and parenting adolescents between the ages of 12 and 21, who have been placed in the care and custody of their county as a result of parental abuse/neglect, PINS/JD behaviors, or other circumstances that have placed them and their children at risk of harm. The goal of this program is to provide a wide range of services to promote safety, education, and stability.

Services Include:

  • Independent Living Skills education (on both an individual and group level)
  • Parenting Education and Support
  • Educational Coordination and Tutoring
  • Medical Care Coordination and Support
  • Clinical Counseling to Include Youth, Putative Fathers and/or Primary Resource Person
  • Expressive Arts Therapy
  • Recreational Therapy
  • Child Care to Enable Youth to go to School, Work and/or Participate in all Activities Associated with the Program
  • Job Opportunities and/or Assistance with Obtaining Employment
  • Full Range of Assessment and Referral Services
  • Permanency Planning
  • Advocacy
  • Case Management
  • Mentoring
  • Comprehensive Discharge Planning & 90 Days of Aftercare Services
