Farrano Center for Children

The Farano Center provides trauma-informed congregate care services for children between the age of birth and 18. We specialize in serving young people who have a range of developmental, behavioral & mental health issues that cannot be managed in a home setting. Many of these children have also been a victim of parental abuse and neglect and have been severely traumatized. We also provide residential respite services and emergency placement for children removed from their parent/caretaker's care. Our goal is to assist children in developing skills to cope with life stressors safely. We aim to assist families in safely managing their child’s challenging behaviors and/or addressing family concerns that have led to placement. All goals are geared toward developing a safe and stable permanency plan (which could include a return to the parent, a foster home, or an adoption plan).
